The current plans for the building, involve the integration of The Wellington Rooms project into the development of a Knowledge Quarter by Liverpool City Council to be delivered by a development partner appointed by Liverpool City Council. The active participation of the Trust has ensured that this historic building has been saved from irreparable damage, public awareness of the project has been maintained, and the building continues to remain an integral part of the regeneration plans for the area.
The Trust will continue to lobby key stakeholders to ensure public awareness of the project in order that this nationally significant heritage building is restored to its former glory, and brought back into active use.
